The Dilemma of Old Home Day Booths

Saturday, June 24th, 2006

Every year we suffer the same problem and that is not enough booth space to meet the needs of all interested applicants.  This year the Old Home Day Committee has been forced to turn away many vendors that have participated for years and organizations that did not get their application to our committee before all of the space was sold out. This is a very popular event with well over 15,000 people now participating!  It is has been an established policy for over 10 years that booths are not reserved and that it is the responsibility of each individual organization or entity to be responsible for the reservation of their booth.  You must apply for and reserve your own booth, early in the year.  Booth registrations typically close about May first, but we may be full sooner than that.

Old Home Day is promoted as an old-fashioned traditional small town celebration, therefore, space allocation for local non-profit organizations and our local businesses are considered a priority over any profit entity. Otherwise, space allocation is provided on a first come basis. Not all commercial businesses are welcome to participate. The Old Home Day Committee shall retain exclusive right to reject any and all booth applications to maintain the integrity of this traditional old – fashioned community celebration.
Our website www.oldhomeday.com  is available 24 -7 365 days a year.  Be sure to get those applications in early!
